We thought giving my 6-year-old his own digital camera (a cheap one, he's not that spoiled) would be pretty neat because it would cost a small fortune to develop all the film he uses up with the cheap Dollar Store cameras.
However, it's only been one day and he's already learned the term "blackmail" so not sure how great the camera idea is.
Luckily it doesn't have a flash, so indoor pictures are rather blurry, and I also set it to the lowest quality picture, so his face is a little fuzzy in the 40 or so snapshots he's taken of his face close-up.
He was really proud of himself when he said he got a picture of the dog's "privacy" -- though I think he's learning that no one really cares about that.
Little stinker.

In the spirit of Christmas, here are some great pictures of kids scared to death of Santa. My favorite is #29. And #9 has one the creepiest Santa's I've ever seen.
A teacher in Texas breaks the news to her first grade class that there is no Santa. I'm sure the parents were thrilled.
Santa's scary haunted portrait.

My daughter brought a math story problem home. She read it to us.
"If a bookshelf holds 4 books per shelf, and I have 30 books, how many shelves do I need for all my books?"
My husband looks up from his laptop. "Eight. And tell your teacher that's a lousy bookshelf."
